How to edit a QR code after it's printed
Realised your printed QR code needs to point somewhere else? Whether you can fix it without reprinting depends entirely on whether it is a static or a dynamic code.
If it's a dynamic code: easy
A dynamic code points to a short redirect link you own, so editing it takes seconds and the printed code never changes:
- Sign in to your dashboard with your email
- Open the code and change its destination URL
- Save — the same printed code now sends people to the new link, immediately
If it's a static code: you can't edit it directly
A static code has the destination baked into the pattern, so there is no way to change where it goes. Your options are to reprint with a new code, or — better — to control the destination at the URL level in future by using a dynamic code from the start.
This is exactly why dynamic codes exist: printing is expensive and permanent, but the internet behind the code should not have to be.
Avoiding this next time
For anything you are about to print in volume, use a dynamic code. A one-off $3.99 buys you the ability to fix typos, swap campaigns and survive a rebrand without touching the print run.

Questions, answered
Can you change a QR code after it has been printed?
Only if it is a dynamic code. Dynamic codes point to an editable redirect, so you can change the destination any time. Static codes are fixed once printed.
How do I edit the link in a dynamic QR code?
Sign in to your QReasy dashboard, open the code, change its destination URL and save. The printed code instantly starts pointing to the new link.
I printed a static QR code — can it be saved?
The printed static code cannot be repointed. You would need to reprint with a dynamic code, which you can then edit freely from then on.
